Anthony “Tony” A. Locascio, age 68, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, following complications from a stroke. Born September 15, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of the late Sabastian G. Locascio and Mary Mayrella (Ranoull) Locascio. He was the loving and devoted husband of Susan Dell Locascio, his wife of 41 years.
He was retired in 2002 from Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and worked for Dutterer’s Florist Shop in Westminster, Maryland. He and his wife owned and operated the Charmed Traveler. Tony was a 1964 graduate of St. John Catholic High School in Westminster and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam era. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and of the Westminster Lions Club serving as a Director. He was a past president of the Roaring Run Lions Club. He enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, and shopping on ebay. He loved his pet rescue cocker spaniels, Harley, Mandy, and Katie.
Surviving in addition to his wife are brothers-in-law, Charles W. Dell and Richard A. Dell both of Manchester; close cousins, Linda Garber, Barbara Haines, Amy Knaby, Katie Garber, Jeremy Haines, Jeffrey Haines, Aiden Zepp, Aubrey Zepp, and William Knaby; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was predeceased by brother-in-law, John F. Dell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with Rev. John F. Lesnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD, where the Westminster Lions Club will hold a Memorial Service at 8:00 p.m.
