Anthony T. “Tony” Crone, age 67 of Westminster died Wednesday October 3, 2012 at North Pines Assisted Living in Manchester. He was born December 16, 1944 in Howard County, MD, son of the late Lawrence J. Crone Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Henning Crone.
Anthony was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during Vietnam. He worked for the telephone company as a technician. He was a gun collector and member of the CSS Alabama and the North Carroll Rod & Gun Club.
He is survived by brothers, Lawrence J. Crone, Jr. and wife Lynne of Alum Bank, PA, Thomas Crone and Janice Steiner of Mt. Ranier, MD, and Paul M. Crone of Westminster; brother-in-law, Charles R. Tansill of Jessup; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary C. Tansill.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 1-3 and 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills.
