Anne Drabish Conrad, age 94, of Emmitsburg, died peacefully August 1, 2012 at St. Catherine Nursing Center in Emmitsburg. Born September 22, 1917 in Pine Hill, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Salabaj Drabish. She was the wife of Charles D. Conrad, her husband of 70 years.
Anne was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, ceramics and spending time with her family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Rita Catholic Church in Blue Ridge Summit, PA.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Patricia “Pat” Sutton and husband, Randy, of Emmitsburg, and Shirley Ford and husband, Dale, of Emmitsburg; grandchildren, Curtis Ford and wife, Kristie, of Thurmont, and Eric Ford of Greencastle, PA.; great-grandchildren, Devon and Luke Ford and several nieces and nephews. The oldest of five children, she was predeceased by 4 brothers, Nick, Steve, George and Frank Drabish.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012 at St. Rita Parish, 13219 Monterey Ln., Blue Ridge Summit, PA with the Rev. Robert Malagesi, M.S.S.C.C. as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
