Anna Elizabeth Schmidt, age 89, of Keysville, Maryland died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Country Companions Assisted Living Center in Taneytown.
Born February 4, 1921 in Howard County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late James G. and Elizabeth Mae (Redmond) Parsley. She was the wife of the late Millard Morelock, Floyd Wetzel, and Harry Schmidt.
She was a member of the Keysville Grace United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and served on the church consistory as Elder and President. She worked in clothing factories as a seamstress in Woodsboro and Taneytown until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of the Keysville Senior Citizens, and the Homewood Auxiliary representing the church.
Surviving are a niece, Marilyn Wheatley; a niece-in-law, Anna B. Moffitt; nephews, James, Michael and Steven Parsley; several step-children; nine step-grandchildren; and many step-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings, James, Walter, and Samuel Parsley, Frances Morrison; and a nephew, Robert Moffitt.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Keysville Grace United Church of Christ with her pastor the Rev. John P. Silassy officiating. Interment will follow in the Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown.
