Anna Vivian Law, 94, of Gettysburg, PA died Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Lutheran Home in Gettysburg. Born April 12, 1918 in Motters, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Edith C. Valentine Keilholtz. She was the wife of the late Wilmer E. "Johnny" Law, USN retired, to whom she was married for 52 years.


Anna was a graduate of Emmitsburg High School, class of 1934, and the Hospital for the Women of Maryland Nursing, class of 1939. She worked as a registered nurse in Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, Bremerton, WA, Millington, TN, and San Diego, CA, before retiring from nursing in 1983 while employed at Gettysburg Hospital. She continued serving the hospital and community after retirement with volunteer work. She also volunteered at the Lutheran Home in Gettysburg. Anna was a life-long member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, MD, attended Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg, and was a member of their WELCA group. She was a member of the Adams County Registered Nurses Association and had been active at the Emmitsburg Senior Citizens Center.


Surviving are 1 sister, Hazel Stonesifer and husband, Charles, of Keysville, MD; 1 brother, Vernon Keilholtz, and wife, Bea, of Emmitsburg, MD; 1 sister-in-law, Frances Baker Keilholtz of Emmitsburg; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Dorothy Knipple and Novella Dinterman, and 3 brothers, Merle, Raymond, and Ralph Keilholtz.


A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 28 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 10043 Longs Mill Rd, Rocky Ridge, MD with the Rev. James Russell, pastor of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and the Rev. Jon R. Greenstone, pastor of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Rocky Ridge. The family will receive friends Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 West Main St, Emmitsburg, MD.
