Anna Elizabeth Kiser, age 96, of Keysville, Maryland died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born March 14, 1915 near Emmitsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William M. & Mary Harner Martin. She was the wife of the late Carroll L. Kiser who died in 1973.

She was a 1933 graduate of Emmitsburg High School. During her early years she worked at the Claire Frock clothing factory in Thurmont. She was employed for 11 years as a teachers’ aid with the Carroll County Board of Education. She was an active member of Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and belonged to Key Women. She enjoyed reading, bowling and games.

Surviving are daughter, Judith A. Fitz of Waynesboro, PA and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Wilbur, Preston, Ellis and Walter Martin and was the last of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 26 at Keysville Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7301 Keysville Rd., Keymar, MD with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. and Pastor James Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Keysville Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St, Taneytown, Maryland.
