Anna M. King, age 99, of Hampstead, died peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester, MD; just 3 ½ months short of her 100th birthday. Born July 15, 1915 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Agnes (Malefsky) Humphreys. She was the wife of the late David King.
She was retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore working in the dietary department. She enjoyed homemaking, was hardworking, and above all valued time with her family.
Surviving her are daughter, Barbara A. Shadburn and husband Jeffrey L.; grand-daughter, Cynthia L. Mann; great-granddaughter, Danielle L. Mann, all of Hampstead, MD; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Lillian Berry, Ada Rochfort, and Helen Jay; and by brother, Harry Humphreys.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD. Private interment will follow on Thursday in Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore.
