Anna (Coulson) Clabaugh

January 13, 1924 — September 10, 2017

Anna Coulson Clabaugh, 93, of Christiansburg, VA, formerly of Keysville, MD, passed peacefully to her eternal home on Sunday, September 10, 2017.  Anna was born on January 13, 1924, in Hanover, PA, to the late Roy and Mary Hostetter Coulson.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur W. Clabaugh; a sister, Martha Dome; and a brother, Clyde Coulson.

Music was a passion in Anna’s life and for many years she served as organist for St. Paul United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, VA. She later served in the same capacity at Cambria Baptist Church in Christiansburg.  She also loved needlework and giving to others.

Left behind to cherish her memory are daughter and son-in-law, Eleanor and Dwight Perry; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Sharon Clabaugh; three grandsons, David Perry (Crystal), Mark Clabaugh (Kaleena), and Matthew Clabaugh; great-grandchildren, Elaina and Nathan Perry; step-grandson, Justin Etzler (Sara); step-great-grandson, Owen; sister, Margaret (Merle) Forney; as well as many nieces and nephews. Also cherishing her memory are special friends, Jackie and Billy Caldwell; and dear friends Eloise Minnick and Doug Henderson.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, VA.  A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16 at Keysville Union Cemetery, Keysville, MD.  Arrangements in Maryland have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Anna’s memory be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
