Andrew Conrad Zinkand, Jr., 77, of Union Bridge, MD, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at York Hospital in York, PA. Born July 26, 1940 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Gertrude (DeBoy) and Andrew Conrad Zinkand, Sr. He was the devoted husband of Victoria (Donmoyer) Zinkand, to whom he was married for 52 years.
Andrew was an electrician. He was co-owner of the family business, Zinkand Electric, Inc. in Baltimore. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed farming, hunting with his bird dogs and beagles, and spending time with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son, James Zinkand and wife Kim of Union Bridge; daughters, Sharon Dawn Drechsler of Towson, and Terasa Moxley and husband Robert of Littlestown, PA; son-in-law, Michael Staley of Smithsburg; siblings, John Zinkand and wife Jeannie, Danny Zinkand, Jimmy Zinkand and wife Sharon, Mary Ellen Shapiro, Elizabeth Ann Dugas, and Kathleen Rottmann and husband Steve, all of Arbutus, Michael Zinkand of Gamber, Pat and Ricky Zinkand, both of Baltimore, Susan Smith and husband Kevin, and Maureen Puepke and husband Randy, all of Ellicott City; grandchildren, Jason Zinkand, Emily Shore, Andrew Fitzgerald, Bryce and Zack Drechsler, and Michael and Nicholas Staley; great-grandchildren, Jake, McKenna, Chloe, and Payton; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Staley.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the Terra Rubra Lions Club, 6300 Middleburg Rd., Keymar, MD. Arrangements have been entrusted to MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Taneytown, MD,
