Amelia Mary MacDermott, age 87, of Westminster, died suddenly on Friday afternoon, January 9, 2009 at the Carroll Hospital Center E.R. in Westminster.
Born March 23, 1921 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George and Marie (Welsch) Bosse. She was the wife of 51 years to James Lee MacDermott.
She was a communicant of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. She was retired after 13 years as an accountant/bookkeeper with Random House, and was the former president and founder of the Random House Alumni Club of Westminster.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son Sean L. MacDermott of Union Mills, and his fiancée Julie Gibbons, a grandson, Julien Husselbaugh of Taneytown.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Melanie Husselbaugh, and by four siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:30 AM at the Garrison Forest Maryland Veterans Cemetery, in Owings Mills, MD
