Amanda Deoms

Amanda “Mandy” Renee DeOms, 40, along with her unborn daughter Willow Jade, of Taneytown, MD passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Gettysburg Hospital.  Born August 9, 1982 in Fort Bragg, NC, she was the daughter of Susan Stiers Arnold (Tony) of Taneytown and John DeOms (Cindy) of Bassett, VA.  She was the wife of Jammie Ditzler, to whom she was married for 10 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children, Ariana and Mason; siblings Cherie Winters (John), Lauren Myers (Brent), Jerry Withem, Jeremy Withem, Kurt Withem; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Amanda was a gifted Medical Technician and caregiver with Sun Valley at Ridge Overlook Assisted Living near Taylorsville.  She was all about the children in her life, Arianna, Mason and Willow but also the many nieces and nephews in her family, particularly Corey DeOms.  Amanda was a very creative and artistic soul.  She loved anything having to do with Tinkerbell, fairies, and ladybugs.  And she adored her little dog Jasper.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 W. North Ave., Emmitsburg, MD.  A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church.
