Alvie L. Lookingbill

Alvie L. “Lou” Lookingbill, age 80 of Taneytown, MD went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Dove House, Westminster, MD. Born, June 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Russell and Mary Lookingbill. Lou worked at Cambridge Rubber Company until they shut down in December 1986. He was a faithful member of Taneytown Baptist Church. He loved his cats and his rose bushes. He spent most of his time taking care of family members, his dad, mom, uncle and aunt. He even checked in on his coworker. He is survived by his brother, Russell & wife Butch, sisters, Patsy, Mary, Darlene and husband Bill, Jeanne and husband Karl, and Doris and husband Don and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Robert. He was a loving brother, and uncle. Lou has a beautiful loving soul. Be at peace. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown MD. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jared Pankhurst officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA.
