Albert Abraham Hahn, age 74, of Sabillasville, Maryland, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.
Born March 7, 1936 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Luther and Ida (Jacobs) Hahn. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Norma (Nolan) Hahn.
Albert was a veteran of the Maryland National Guard, and retired in 1998 after working for the Frederick County Board of Education as a school custodian. He was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Sabillasville, MD, and a member of the 29th Division Association, Inc., Lantern Post # 729 in Cascade, MD. He was a helpful, kind, and generous person to all his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, Kenneth Hahn and fiancée Brenda Lee Stum of Mt. Alto, PA, and Patrick Hahn and wife Cathy of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; granddaughters, Teonna Hahn of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, and Jamie Leggett of Waynesboro, PA; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Coty, Cheyenne, and Bella Leggett; siblings, Luther J. Hahn of Aberdeen, MD, Paul M. Hahn of Greencastle, PA, George E. Hahn of Waynesboro, PA, Helen K. McClain of Fairfield, PA, Joseph Hahn of Waynesboro, PA, James H. Hahn of South Mountain, PA, Ronald P. Hahn and Mary Hahn of Emmitsburg, MD; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in addition to his parents by brothers, Clarence, Harry, Lloyd, and Robert Hahn; and by sisters, Ida Mae Sklarevski, and Dorothy Bock.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, September 24th from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. at Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 W. North Street, Emmitsburg, MD, with Rev. Janet Comings officiating. Interment will follow in the Fountaindale Union Cemetery in Fountaindale, PA.

Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
