Albert Edward Brodhurst, age 73 of Columbia, MD, formerly of Westminster, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1934 in Belize, Central America, the son of the late George H. and Olive A. Padget Brodhurst. He was the husband of Margery Guerin Brodhurst of Columbia, MD. He was the husband of the late Sara C. Poehlman Brodhurst who died in 2005. In Korea he served as a lieutenant of the U.S. Army. He was a business executive, lawyer and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at Tri-State College in 1960 and his L.L.B. at John Marshall Law School in 1965. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics Engineering at the Army-Navy School in Washington D.C. in 1969. He was a cadastrial surveyor for the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey from 1956-1959. He owned and operated The Brodhurst Corporation from 1974 to 2006. He was a member of the Preparedness Association Society Logistics Engineers and the ELKS Lodge in Westminster, MD.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sister, Sonja Rodriguez of Belize; brother, Henry Brodhurst of Florida; also children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services and interment will be private.
