Aileene Ruth (Higgins) Robinson

Aileene Ruth Robinson, 95, of Westminster, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Westminster Healthcare Center. Born July 18, 1926 in Unicoi, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Maude Higgins, nee Sparks, and beloved wife of the late Arthur Eugene Robinson, devoted grandmother of Michael Livingston and his wife Laura, and Lisa Livingston; step-grandmother of Rick Shanklin and his wife Sandy, Greg Shanklin, and Bobby Shanklin; loving great-grandmother of Olivia Livingston and Matthew Livingston; step great grandmother Christina Shaver and her husband Vince, and Nicole Slusher and her husband Steve, and Alexander; cherished sister of Donald Higgins, Delores Wagner, Amelia Price, and Frank Higgins; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughters and sons-in-law Shellia Shanklin and her husband Richard, and Rheba Livingston and her husband Dave, and her siblings R.C. Higgins, Catherine Yingling, Paul Higgins, Hilda Robinson, Larry Higgins, and Bernard Higgins.

In addition, to being a terrific home maker and loving her dogs, she worked for Black and Decker for many years, loved reading her Bible, and in her spare time she enjoyed sewing, knitting and loved her garden. She could always be found in the kitchen cooking and baking for friends and family alike. She was a founding member of Crossroads Church, formerly the Westminster Church of God.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 91 Willis Street, Westminster (21157), where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
