Wilbur Eugene Little, age 72, of Westminster, died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, following an extended illness.
Born February 9, 1936 in Frizzellburg, Md., he was the son of the late Ralph Robert and Maude Elizabeth (Gonder) Little. He was the husband of 53 ½ years to Betty Jane (Blizzard) Little.
He was a member of the Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren in Westminster. Wilbur was a self-employed carpenter and woodworker for most of his work life. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and especially liked going to breakfast with his grand-daughter. He liked watching car races and playing the lottery. He attended the New Windsor school.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter and spouse, Darlene Lee and Donald Skeen of Westminster; grandchildren, Bethany M. Skeen, and Jason M. Skeen both of Westminster, Joshua D. and wife Angie Skeen of Manchester; a great-grand-daughter, Katelyn Lee Leppo of Westminster; a sister Anna and spouse Kenny Frock of Shippensburg, Pa., brothers, Carl, Fred, Kenneth, Walter, Daniel, and spouses all of Westminster, Thomas Little of Pa.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and sister and brother-in-laws.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Allen Lee Little in 1979, and by brothers, David and Jack Little.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 from the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with his pastor the Rev. James Lucas officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Littlestown, Pa. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
