Ray Ceriotti, age 69, of Taneytown and Ocean City, Maryland died Monday, June 20, 2011 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, Maryland.
Born January 3, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Raymond & Julia Ceriotti. He was the husband of Mary Ceriotti, his wife of 30 years.
Ray earned a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan and served as a consultant in the pharmaceutical and chemical business throughout his career. He loved fishing, reading, and spending time at his home in Ocean City, Maryland. He enjoyed playing Bridge, the Investment Club, and volunteering at Carroll Vista.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Kathleen Wellington and husband, Jack of Boyds, MD; son, David Ceriotti of Stillwater, NY; daughter, Julia Ceriotti of Germantown, MD; step-daughter, Cynthia Sibilia and husband John of Basking Ridge, NJ; & step-son, David Behler and wife Marla of Brewster, NY; grandchildren, James, Christine & Michael Sibilia, Siobhan Noonan, Samuel Wellington, Shane & Anna Behler, and Jonathan Dynan. Ray was predeceased by his brother, Robert Ceriotti.
In accordance with his wishes, Ray was cremated. There will be a scattering of his ashes near Ocean City, Maryland in September.
Ray loved his dog, Dixie. It was Ray’s wish to help animals in need.
